GLOBAL Gator guides

What's a Global Gator Guide?

Global Gator Guides are members of an award-winning program within the Global Business Society. The main focus of the program is to match a UF student with an incoming exchange student to help the

student transition to life on campus.

We encourage our gator guides to reach

out to their student and connect them to resources, communities, and events within the Heavener School of Business & our local Gainesville community. The goal of the program is to create lasting connections with international business students while they learn and grow here at UF.

The Global Gator Guide program provides students with a global experience without leaving Gainesville.

Ideally, the guides have an interest in foreign cultures or have studied abroad themselves. We hope to pair the guides with an exchange student  has similar interests.

WHY

BE

A

GUIDE?

JUAN

My name is Juan Sarabia and I am a fourth year Finance major. I was born in Colombia but live in Miami. Fun Fact: I rode a camel this summer in Morocco! And my favorite thing about being a global gator guide is making friends from all over the world, friends that I will be able to visit when I visit the countries they are from. Like this summer when I was in Madrid, I met up with one of the past exchange students that I had met here!

COURTNEY

I’m Courtney Kreiling and I'm a second year Marketing major from Bradenton, FL. My fun fact is that a few summers ago I went white water rafting in Switzerland on glacial water - it was so cold! My favorite part about being a guide is becoming friends with the exchange students and seeing them around Heavener. They’re great to study with and always have so many stories to share from all around the world.
